A violent altercation broke out on the Alicante Esplanade this morning, Saturday September 6th, injuring two men and the arrest of one of them.
According to CICU sources, the call came in about 9:40 a.m., describing a fight that left a 28-year-old man with a thigh wound and a 27-year-old man with a bruise on his abdomen wall. A SAMU unit and a Basic Life Support unit responded to the site and transferred both guys to Doctor Balmis Hospital.
The incident occurred inside a Burger King, where an argument between two men of Arab ancestry, according to police sources, resulted in a stabbing, leaving the victim with critical leg injuries.
Local police officers first intervened, arresting the suspected attacker and retrieving two mobile phones that both suspects had earlier stolen, sparking the dispute. The National Police then took over the investigation, while the Local Police brought the injured man to the hospital.
