The National Police say they caught a man who they think broke into residences in the Vistabella neighbourhood of Murcia. They found him hiding on a roof behind a chimney.
A neighbour called the CIMACC 091 call centre on January 9th about 9:00 p.m. after hearing footsteps on the roof of her house. When the authorities got there, she told them she had seen a figure moving across the roofs.
When the police showed up there, the man, who was hiding behind a chimney, ran away and threw the rucksack he was carrying into an inside courtyard.
The person who did it was caught, and the rucksack was found. They found tools inside that had been taken from the courtyard of one of the houses. They gave them back to their owner.
The man who was detained had been arrested more than 30 times before and had a police record for being involved in other crimes this year. He was then turned over to the courts.
